Abstract
This article discusses professional ethics in social work, exploring key themes (core values, codes of ethics, ethical theories, ethical challenges, ethical decision making, and regulation of conduct) in current literature and practice. It considers whether dominant models of social work practice and ethics from the global North should be reconsidered in an international context.
