Phoenix, C. (2020) 'Exploring older people's experiences of ageing and ageism : a pilot qualitative piece from Costa Rica, The Gambia, Pakistan and Serbia.', Project Report. HelpAge International.
Abstract
Research on experiences of ageism and age discrimination in lower and middleincome countries is rare. In order to advocate and campaign effectively for an end to ageism and age discrimination, an understanding of older people’s experiences of ageing, and how and where age discrimination manifests itself is needed. The aim of this project was to gain understanding of the meaning that individuals living in low-and-middle income countries ascribe to ageism and age discrimination.
