Abstract
[English Abstract] This article explores the dark ecology latent in Intemperie by Jesús Carrasco through the figure of the emaciated greyhound that represents the ambivalences of life in the Spanish countryside, an oscillating tension between the cruel scarcity and vital coexistence among living beings in the central plateau. The desolate images of the plains are also analyzed and contrasted with the pastoral reminisced in the narrative.
